I started a self-portrait series 15 years ago, taking pictures of my reflection in modern and contemporary art. Part of this body of work was even shown in an exhibition in Frankfurt (Oder) in 2011.

Even in my bachelor thesis (art history), I wrote about surfaces and how they change our perception of artwork. Sometimes an artist might deliberately incorporate mirror effects, other times ventures might just not be able to afford non-reflective museum glass for huge pieces. But it can always be a source of inspiration and great fun being confronted with your own image when you don't expect it

Thank you, Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Siegen, for a great experience.
